About Us
"Works of My Father" serves not only as our ministry name, but also
as a constant reminder of our purpose. As Christians, we are called to infect
the world with the kingdom of heaven, "on earth as it is in heaven." In order
to answer this call, we need to get outside the four walls of our churches,
outside of our comfort zones, and onto the front lines. This is where the
"abundant life" is found. Many who serve at CASA DE LUZ or on our outreach teams, have had the Holy Spirit
manifest Himself in tangible ways; they have wittnessed first-hand, miracles,
healings, deliverance and salvation. After walking in the spiritual authority
of Christ on the front lines, they return from the mission field with awesome
testimonies of shining the light of Christ in some of the darkest places in the
world. Ever changed, and now emboldened to share Christ anywhere, anytime, they
return to establish the kingdom of heaven in their communities. Therefore, the
primary focus at Works of My Father is not just on those we serve, but also on
the discipleship that occurs as we serve along side one another in Christ.
"Works of My Father Christian Ministries" is the registered 'doing
business as' (dba) for The Word Alive Church, Inc., a 501(C)3 non-profit
religious corporation which was established in California in 1999, and was also
registered to operate in Nevada in 2007. The dba name, Works of My Father
Christian Ministries, is legally registered in Clark County, Nevada.
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE that there is
one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; and that this tri-une God
created all, upholds all and governs all.
WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments of the
Holy Bible are the only true Word of God, fully inspired without error in the
original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
Furthermore, we believe that man's additions to the Bible, whether being
additional books of the Bible, and/or Bible commentary, is not fully inspired
by God; and therefore, not totally without error.
WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal
Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself
mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He
saves from sin and death all who come to Him through the Son, Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, God's
only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin
birth, His sinless life, His miracles and teachings, His death for our sins
according to the Scriptures, His burial, His bodily resurrection, His finished
work on the cross, His ascension into heaven, and His perpetual intercession
for His followers.
WE BELIEVE in
the HOLY SPIRIT, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of
sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for
ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every
believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of
all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and,
therefore, are under condemnation and therefore, in need of salvation and
regeneration. We believe that eternal life and salvation is only by God's grace
through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE in the TRUE CHURCH, the living spiritual
body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. "And
He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things
to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
(Ephesians 1:22-23 NKJV)
A Mission From God
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the
age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV)
By the authority of
Jesus, in His name and for His sake, we will make disciples of all the
nations.
Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is
from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry
of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not
counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of
reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were
making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled
to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might
become the righteousness of God. As God's fellow workers we urge you not to
receive God's grace in vain. (2 Corinthians 5:17-6:1 NIV)
Now
reconciled to God through Christ, we are committed to the ministry of
reconciliation as ambassadors of Christ.
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to
give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a
living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the
way to worship him. (Romans 12:1 NLT)
We will worship God in
spirit and truth by giving our bodies to Him as a living and holy sacrifice.
Amen. |
